Aishat Teniola Hussain

LL.B, B.L., LL.M, Master of International Service (Executive Track), Cybersecurity & Human Rights, Public Policy & Civic Leadership

Aishat Hussain is a distinguished lawyer and international development expert with over 12 years of professional experience. Her academic credentials include an LL.B from the University of Ilorin, a Barrister at Law (B.L.) from the Nigerian Law School, an LL.M in Commercial and Maritime Law from the University of Hertfordshire, and she is currently pursuing a Master of International Service (Executive Track) at American University, USA. She has also earned advanced certifications in Cybersecurity and Human Rights, and Public Policy & Civic Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley.



Aishat began her leadership journey as the Director of Sponsorship for Junior Chamber International (JCI) at the University of Ilorin in 2008, followed by her role as Chairperson for Media and Editorials in 2009/2010. She was also a founding member of the National Association of Nigerian Law Students (NANLAS) and played a key role in organizing the first-ever conference at Afe Babalola University.

In 2010, Aishat launched Project Save the World, which has since evolved into Moonstone Initiative for Development and Growth. This platform includes initiatives like #BarrAishatTalks and #ProjectDareTo, focusing on advocacy, mentorship, empowerment, and community development via the Iyi orilede Advocacy Network program. Through this network, Aishat has inspired thousands to engage in governance, social justice, and community empowerment.



She consults for Nu Stream Solicitors, specializing in commercial law, alternative dispute resolution, and consumer protection, and leads impactful development initiatives through the Moonstone Initiative for Development and Growth. Her work has been instrumental in promoting social justice, gender inclusion, and community development.



Aishat has also held pivotal roles at internationally renowned organizations such as the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI), enhancing democratic processes, gender equality, and civic engagement across Sub-Saharan Africa. She leads corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects for private firms, driving sustainable business practices and community development.


Her contributions have been recognized through numerous prestigious awards:

    • Goldman School of Public Policy Executive Education Certificate, University of California, Berkeley (2016)
    • Inspirational Woman’s Award from Oyo State Governor’s Wife (2018)

    • Junior Chamber International (JCI) Award for Editor of the Year (2010)


Aishat is a proud member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), a Mandela Washington Fellow, Society for International Development USA, and the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). She has also received certifications from The World Bank, Goi Peace Japan, and AISEC for her contributions to essay competitions on topics such as youth migration and peacebuilding.

Outside her professional achievements, Aishat is passionate about creativity, she enjoys writing poetry.

Kehinde Bashiru

Kehinde Holds a first degree in law, he has a PgD in business law and an LLM in Dispute Resolution and conflict management (from Nigeria, London And Canada respectively). He is a revered sports administrator, a notable journalist and a fearless social critic. He is presently in private practice and as well work with the first court connected ADR centre in Africa as a Mediator.
